When their paths cross, they face a fight for their future. If they have any future at all.
NEANDS
October, 2020
What if evolution went wrong and the human race was threatened at the very core of its DNA? Charlie (14) lives at a time when a new virus is infecting Homo sapiens. They are becoming more hostile and aggressive, even his friends, teachers, schoolmates and authority figures are succumbing to their recessive Neanderthal gene.
ABOUT DAN SALMON
Dan Salmon works as a writer, screen director, and producer of award-winning documentaries and television.
He likes loud music, quiet places, crowds, solitude, trees, and the ocean, and when he can’t be found, is usually sailing or riding his bike. In 2019, he went to Ethiopia to see where homo sapiens first evolved. It was very cool, and made him think more deeply about who we are. Some of that thinking made its way into Neands, his first novel.
'All the great truths are in fiction, everything else is just facts.'
Maybe once said by a great novelist
